no signal

Go to solution Solved by TheBrownWonder,

ok i figured out what i did wrong. i didn't connect the 4+4 pin +12v connector I originally though it was in case you didn't have the 24pin also i looked at it and you know how the shapes are squares and a square with rounded side well 1 half of the were rounded when the slot on the board was squares so that also led me to believe they wouldn't fit so yeah thanks and sorry for troubling you guys

Hi I just built my first pc but i'm having a bit of a problem everything seems to be working except my monitor is getting no signal I opened up my case to take a look at it and my graphics card (asus radeon r9 270x) has 2 lights on one is green and the other is red there are also 2 plugs under the lights the one that i plugged the power supply into is green the other is red, the fans on the card also are not running. Am i supposed to plug the power supply into both spots or something... also my motherboard doesn't have integrated graphics.

ok well the cord that comes with the graphics card splits into 2 molex but i read somewhere not to use those cause they are old technology but i tried it with one of the cables that came with my power supply that fits and both lights are now green and the fans are running but still no signal then i changed to both cables that came with the power supply still have both lights green fans are running but still no signal

Graphics Cards nowadays should be able to plug n' play,If you plugged your power cable both 6-pin pcies into the cards and turned on still no single,

You better RMA asap if you just bought it,If not,and the product still in warranty, still rma asap.

If you want make sure, you can tried another monitor before you actually rma it,but I doubt it'll make any difference.
