I just installed a new fan in the front part of my pc. yet it pretty noisy. (no vibrations or rattles just fan noise) so i headed into the BIOS to see if i can change the RPM and it was set to by default 4000 RPM. when i click on it to see if i can change it, it only gave me an option to ignore the fan. How can i change the fans speed and keep it that way every time it boots up. and also what do you think is the recommended speed for a front mount fan? Thanks

@R3DOPS

Try Speedfan, it's awesome! Speed depends on your rig. Generally I'd drop it below 400RPM for browsing etc. I'd ramp it up to 1000-1200RPM For gaming/rendering/video editing etc. That's it! :)

There isn't an option to change it to user and turn it down a bit? Install asus fan controller/ thermal radar?

I would just get a simple hardware fan controller. No software to fiddle with.

is there a way to make it automated?

I believe you(with your board) can use AI Suite for fan controlling. In addition, it supports temperature based automated control which you set(with limitations).

Yep. Click the fan control tab inside the software and create a fan profile.

AI Suite is such a buggy mess though. (imo) I own a ROG board too and just use Speedfan instead.

Never had an issue with the suite in any of my saber tooth boards. Just try it, can't hurt anything

I'm talking about the actual program in Windows. It's called AI Suite. Not the BIOS.

It's found on the motherboard page in the Support section under Driver & Tools.
