FX-8350 & Memory

sorry guys if this is kind of stupid but i need a wee bit of help with getting memory to go with my new fx-8350. i have a crosshair iv extreme board and want to put 16gb (8gb x 2) of ram in it. looking at the chart on amd's website im confused as to wether i should get 1833mhz ram or 1600mhz ram. i will attach a copy of the chart from amd's website. but does available memory mother board slots mean that there will be 2 left unpopulated after 2 populated or the 2 populated are also refering to the 1's available? im quite confused. please help asap guys! thanks

just get a dual channel 16gb kit @1866, something like the new vengeance pro memory is a good option :) you can get it with a great red and black theme to match the mobo

The 990fx chipset that is on this board supports up to 32gb of 1866mhz ram natively.

From what I have read on the 8350 if u populate 2 dimms it will run at 1866 but if u populate 4 then those dimms will only be able to achieve 1600
