CPU Upgrade old machine

                                                       Hi to all members of Linus tech tips forum!

This is my first post on any forum ever so please forgive me if i'm missing some steps in posting or making some other mistakes.

Linus always says in his youtube videos to ask here if i have any question so here i am.

I have older pc specs are Core 2 Duo E6500, 4GB DDR2 800Mhz Silicon power, Msi Gts 450 with 512MB of GDDR5, Asus P5KPL-VM motherboard, Kingstone V300 SSD 60GB for OS and 500 GB Seagate for rest, 600w LC Powes PSU. 

Until recently i was able to play all games on it even crysis 3 ( on Low) 28-31 FPS, now i need to upgrade but i don't have money for it so i started looking at Core 2 Quad and i found one for 30$, Q6600. Is it worth it,will i get noticeable performance increase or is it just waste of money and time?
