Old TV noise

it has a really annoying eeeeEEeeEEeeeEe noise (no idea how to explain) that comes from the the top of the tv not from the speakers

 

any idea how to fix it ?

That's coil whine from the electromagnets inside the tube. I think old Tv's are designed by older people whose ears are not able to hear that annoying high pitched noise.

Sounds like an electronics noise. Turn the volume up :P

I hate CRT's because I'm very sensitive to that high pitch noise, whereas my parents couldn't hear it.

It's basically a test to see if you young or not =]
