Headphones With a Computer

For portable headphones, they have a inline microphone that you can use and they terminate in one 3.5mm jack that has both earphone and microphone capabilities. 

 

If I plug that cable into the computer, do I need a cable splitter in order for the microphone to work on my computer?

You need a splitter to use the mic on your computer. They're really cheap, so it's worth it.

Not a splitter, an adapter. It may look like a splitter, but don't buy it if it says it's a splitter in the product title and/or description.
