hey,

My everlasting problems with swapping gpu's continue to last....
i know run both of my benq xl2420T with displayport. Problem is randomly one of my monitors gets  blurry vision OR vertical lines. If i take a screenshot the "faulty" screen is just fine so it is a hardware problem i think...
I had this problem with my bad msi 980 , but this happens again with my asus 980.   It is not just one monitor, it just happens to one of them never the same one. And the cables are brand new, i  allready swapped one and it still happens.
NOTE: if i use hdmi it doesn't happen to the hdmi connected one.

The cables run freely , not with my bundle so there isn't the problem. And i got the latest drivers from nvidia.

Any ideas?

but display port can do 120hz, go to nvidia control panel and force it there and change it on the monitors them selves, so in this case try 120hz

1920x1080 is only full HD and display should manage it. are the monitors set to 120hz on there end?

i got them now the "normal" mode, not the ultra hd, @144hz, i can't manually set them, they just deal with what the gpu puts out.

run them in that mode at 120hz (i think that's there refresh rate) if your still getting vertical lines then honestly i have no idea anymore. and since you already changed the gpu i doubt its that again.

yup, and one could think "its a bad port on the monitor, but then the problem would be more obvious :) i'm gonna try it this way, on the "lower settings" :) thnx for the input, i really never thought that that could be it :)
