1. Budget is trying to stay between $1,800-$1,900 USD after taxes. (closest to 1,800 the better because of taxes, only if the part is extremely worth it I will increase the budget)

2. Aim - Graphic design on photoshop and video editing and GAMING!! Diablo 3, BF4, FarCry 4 exc.

3. Monitors - 3x 1080p Monitors Is all I want to be able to run atleast 60fps, the higher the better(single monitor for gaming) others for programs and stuff.

4. Peripherals - Already purchased Mice and Keyboard - Not part of budget

5. Why are you upgrading? - Current (laptop) is too weak to play games above 20fps on medium graphics and photoshop lags a ton. (ruins hours of work)

My PC Part Picker! -  http://pcpartpicker.com/p/ZwtxWZ

I need to see if these parts are good enough, or if a piece is lacking (such as RAM) or overkill, (such as the cooler), please link me other options that would be awesome!!!

I want something that is future proof for just 60fps on high settings at 1080p no res higher, that will last a good life time. 5+ years

Also, I want to know if it's possible to duel the graphics card (if a case fits it), or if it's better to change the build for a ddr4 setup, but I don't know how much of an improvement either of those would be, or if I would need it or not.

Thanks! All responses are welcomed and strongly needed!  :D

I've heard very poor things about ZOTAC 970s, I'd go with a Gigabyte G1 or an ASUS Strix. Also the power supply is way overkill, even 750-800w is overkill, but would have room for future upgrades.

Like what?

It's new to me, and someone told me the strix isn't as good.

I only really like it because of the 3 display ports and want to run a surround monitor setup.

Well, you do productivity and have the budget, so X99 it is. At first I was worried that budget of yours included the three monitors, but for just the tower it's easily doable on x99.

It supports SLI in case you want to chuck in a second GTX 970. That would bring you to $2k though, but the option is still there down the road in case you want it. It performs better than your rig or nearly identical in every area that matters, and the CPU is WAY better for content creation. You spent a good deal of your budget on things that don't have as good price to performance, so by keeping price to performance king I was able to give you a much better rig for content creation. You really didn't need things like that expensive asus motherboard when any Z97 chipset board with SLI compability would do. You really didn't need that expensive PSU at all, the case was a bit overboard and the one I included is already excellent. You also paying a $75 price premium for a GPU that's only a tiny bit better than the one in my build. They perform the same at the same clock speeds, and yours is only clocked 10% faster for 25% more cost, which isn't a good deal, especially when overclocking will make the clock speeds even closer together.

I'd recommend a 7200 rpm HDD, it will be noticeably faster.

can you link me a good one? All the 2-3TB HD have really bad reviews, like 1/3 bad so that's the only reason why I had chosed this one, although I do want a 7200rpm I'm not sure which one is reliable at a decent price.

The strix is the best GTX970 imho.

@Lotus Wow I Like what you did! It's actually cheaper then what It was before and a ddr4? Damn! Lol Yup I knew I hot more expensive pieces then it should have been lol

DDR4 isn't the big point of the build. It's the 6 core CPU with hyper threading. That things a monster at content creation.

Well which of the GTX 970 are the best? I've heard a lot of mixed reviews and I just want to be able to have enough outputs for all the monitors.

All of the 970 cards have enough digital outs for 3 monitors, although you may be using an HDMI or DVI cable for one.

Zotac has a budget lineup (and an expensive line like in your first build), but that doesn't mean they're bad. It's the same architecture GPU as the others, just with a different cooling solution and execution. There is a "best" gpu (the one with the highest stock clock speed if you don't overclock), but the increased price never reflects on increased performance. So long as you don't get a DOA card, the cheapest option available is the best. It's like a Subaru BRZ versus a Scion FR-S. They're the same car with the same engine that came from the same assembly line, but the little nuances are different and sold by different companies. Performance is very close to each other, and honestly IMO the silicone lottery is more important than the cooling solution when it comes to overclocking on most of these cards. Avoid the fanboys and focus on the real performance and cost. If a specific GPU has many reports of being DOA, then you avoid it, but that's really the only thing I'd ever worry about.

edit: and no, that zotac one I included does NOT have significant reports of being DOA.
