Will there be possible to play exclusive console titles by porting them manually to PC?

X86 on consoles is a risky move, hackers will deffinetly break the barier and "adapt" those games to work on PC, or do they?

More probably will work on Kaveri, right? Whith it's CPU-GPU unified memory.

To be clear: I don't support piracy, I just don't wanna buy €500 console just to play a certain game. I will buy that certain game though.

What do you think about that guys?

its just too early for thinking about porting next gen console games and hacking them i would say there is atleast 1.5 - 2years before they succesfully port or emulate the game (since the consoles isnt even released yet) also using X86 doesnt mean they didnt encrypted the game to work on special hardware

you wont just be able to load up a ps4 o.s on the pc or run a game on any pc. the reason being is that the ps4 will have dedicated hardware . the advantage of making a game on a specific setup is that you can hit the hardware directly on a pc you cant do this because every pc is different so any hardware hits you make on 1 will have a different result on another machine.

not only that the cpu may well be x86 based but the memory and how its handled isnt so any memory call made will be invalid on a pc.

on pc we have api's (application programming interface) they allow programmers to implement there code across many differing platforms due to being software based. this gives massive flexibility across the platform but will limit what the platform can actually do.

as i said they will be hitting the ps4 hardware directly this means they dont need an api so they can narrow the focus and get the best out of the hardware they have.

anyways i wouldn't worry to much you will see some very pretty titles on the ps4 but the vast majority will be multi platform.

Just because the consoles are using X86 CPUs does not mean emulation will be easy.  the original Xbox used an X86 CPU but there are no decent emus for that.  You need to emulate a lot more than the game there is the hardware, OS and will all the new consoles you have everything encrypted.  It's sad to say but I think PCSX2 and dolphin will be the last emus that we see that are home brew software solutions.

For reference, theres a ps2 emulator that's mostly stable at this point. ps3 hasn't even been attempted (that i know of), ps4 hasn't even been released. I'd expect to see a worthwhile ps4 emulator in a half decade at the earliest. not to mention that anything on the fm2 socket will likely be overpowered by the ps4.

You're just going to have to borrow the console and game from a friend to play it.
