OC'ing the Pentium K

Go to solution Solved by Archangel1994,

No, you need a z87 or z97 board for the, b85 won't OC. Wait for black friday deals to look for a z87 z97 board.

All ASUS boards H81/B85/H87/H97 support OC'ing with the newest bios. A few other brands did this as well and MSI did this with select motherboards

@MLG Doge

Find a good B85 ASUS board.

Simple Question.

Can i OC the Pentium G3258 on the MSI B85M-G43?

If not could you recommend some ~£50 boards that can?

Thanks

Short answer: yes

long answer: yessssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssss https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QBfXruwe8w4 <- Linus' video

note: your mobo has OC Genie 4 build in to the BIOS so you should try that first before starting to mess around with multipliers etc
