How do mail-in-rebates work?

So I ordered a GPU because it was a sick deal. It says it has a $30 mail-in-rebate but I've never dealt with something like this before. Do I wait until the package comes in?

Yea. You have to find the rebate printout for that product. Usually found on the site that you bought it from, on the product page.

Then you will most likely will have to cut out the proof of purchase and put it with the rebate slip. Then mail it to the address on the rebate card.

You buy a product and they send you a pre-paid card in the mail sometime later, a registration may be required to get the mail-in-rebate.

 

I wished they could jsut send cash lol, that would make it easier, or just lower the price the amount of the rebate.

Good luck if it's from XFX... Rebate approved and they never sent it, was back in the 5000 series days

I sent 5 rebates back with one that failed, it was from MSI. Said I didn't do something right. $30 MIR....
