It's for my main rig. I know crazy right but I am sick with W7 and am stuck with the W7 copy not activated. I really don't want to pay for yet another copy of W7 so I am going to use it as an excuse to finally make the change.

Personally I'm dualbooting Arch and W7 on my main rig and I love Linux except for the fact that gaming doesn't work too well on Linux.

I got sick of looking at Windows myself as well. Been running Ubuntu 14.04.1 LTS for a few weeks now with little interest of going back to Windows.

I can confirm the mouse works just fine. I have no clue if you change change button mapping, dpi settings, turn off led, set profiles and such from linux as I did the initial setup in one of my Windows VMs. Fortunately, the on board memory saves those settings.

  • 1 month later...

Is surface attenuation and distance from surface settings saved on mouse as well? Can I use the profile switching under linux? Is it basically that you can't set most of these under linux, but all is remembered by the mouse and usable under linux?

BTW, this information, is it recorded on micro SSD on the mouse, or is there a small battery charge keeping the information, does anyone know?
