I'm pretty sure there is a coprocessor built in to the CPU. Are you talking about the Xeon Phi types? You don't need those. Those are for industrial applications.

Current Rig: Intel Core 2 Quad Q6600, Abit IN9-32MAX nForce 680i board, Galaxy GT610 1GB DDR3 gpu, Cooler Master Mystique 632S Full ATX case, 1 2TB Seagate Barracuda SATA and 1x200gb Maxtor SATA drives, 1 LG SATA DVD drive, Windows 10. All currently runs like shit :D

Xeon Phi's are only supported by certian motherboards and software. There is a math coprocessor built into the cpu and has been sence the 486 if I remember correctly. Can someone correct me if I am misteaken?

It's the 386. I know because I had to do a project on Intel.

Ah. Knew it was somewhere around there.

More specifically, it was the 386DX. The 386SX's coprocessor came separate.
