best water cooler (cpu) for the 450d case

My system is stable now lol. I moved down to 4.5ghz at 1.2v to keep the temps back.

Oh lol nevermind then, but still 80c for 600mhz isn't great, considering I get 56c while gaming @ 4.95GHz and 1.560v load....  ;)

Well you have and 8350 and a expensive cooling setup. I am runing a 4790k on an evo 212. lol. At 1.2v my gaming temps vary from around 55c in far cry 4 to 64c crysis 3. Bf4 is around 60 ish. Havent test much else yet

Granted my loop cost me more than an AIO but you could get an AIO cheap and get better temps, which is my whole point in this convo really, the 212 was great back in the day but it is only good imo for mild overclocking or replacement stock cooler duty as a single tower unit, I would even go as far as to never suggest one to anyone running an FX chip haha.

My loop wasn't that expensive too, the thing that cost me the most was the fittings, my dual bay res/pump combo cost £30 and my rads combined was around £50 as I already had the fans before hand I didn't need any of those and a new EK waterblock for £36, so in total less than £150 which is $234 but given the USA is bigger and your tech is generally cheaper I'm sure you could find 2nd hand parts for way cheaper than that. Anyway I don't want to come across as a 212 hater but just a little food for thought.

I have an AIO I have a corsair h110 but it's gather dust in the closet because my pump failed and I don't know if I want to open the box because I have an s340. The cpu's heat will be dumped into the case and I fear my reference 780ti will get much hotter. The situations where me gpu will be running hot almost certainly means my cpu will to because of vidya games. I can only have a 280mm as an intake with this case.

That's a nice little case, could see a little HTPC built into one of those for sure. 2x 120s in the front would help cool your 780 I would imagine, as for the pump failure on the 110 i'd RMA that and use the replacement instead of the 212. Not sure what you mean by open the box?

I mean I already got my rma back and I have a new one sitting in the box. Could would having hot air from the cpu as opposed to cool air from the room help cool the gpu? That does not really make sense. I have it sitting in the box because I wouldn't mind selling it for like 80, as soon as I open the box I would be surprised to get 50. So I am afraid to take the risk of my gpu becoming warmer.

You could just mod the top of the case to take a 280mm rad (the h110) and set it to exhaust out the case, flip the 120 exhaust and make it an intake and fit 2 fans to the front of the case to aid airflow. I don't see the problem? You can get 280mm rad templates from MNPC tech's site and I'm of the understanding the top of the case has a pretty poor finish? In which case you could spray it a better paint job or cover it with some acrylic sheet. Seems like your imagination is limiting your rig.  ;)

Simply adding 2 fans at the front will add airflow and slightly improve temps, I'd be modding that case anyway to take 2x 240 rads if I was using it for a HTPC.

EDIT:

In my usual fashion I thought of the most complicated way possible for you to mount the h110 when all you really need to do is this as exhaust.
