Whether or not giveaways are allowed, you shouldn't really be doing a giveaway that will require a user's personal information such as real name and home address. You should ask permission from the LTT staff prior to continuing this giveaway. It's possible that "Linus Media Group" could be legally responsible if things were to go horribly wrong.

 

Edit: It should also be noted that many people who use this forum are considered minors in their place of origin.

Locked for the time being. As mentioned, something like this would require personal information to be transfered and need to sort out the legality here.

 

Straight giveaways are allowed, such as a game code, that you simple post and someone gets.

 

The issue with the Steam thread was that is wasn't so much giveaways, as it got to trading, and then people "cheating" others out of games, complaints against other users, etc.

 

I will look into this giveaway though...
