Nvidia consistent kernel driver crashes

Hello everybody,

 

So I got my GTX 970/RM750 a while ago and I"m really happy with the performance results. However in games (Not heaven/valley O_o) the screen freezes, then goes black and then goes back to what it was doing after which I get a message that the "Nvidia Driver kernel blabla crashed and recovered". It's relatively frequent and it's really becoming an annoyance now.

 

Things I've tried:

- 6 different drivers

- 2 Clean reinstalls

- 1 OS reinstall

- Stock/Less OC/High OC

- Overvolt/Undervolt

 

I'm at the point where I want to test it in a different PC (I can thank god for that, brother also has a 970 :3) or change the PSU for a different one to see if that is the problem. Now before I do this I would like to ask you guys what could be the cause of consistent kernel drivers crashes?

Try running stock again. And did you use the drivers from Gigabyte?

From gigabyte and 6 different other drivers from the Geforce website. Already tried running stock.

Try using the iGPU and see if it happens.

That thing died, It refuses to display anything

 

Edit: Plus, how would using the iGPU show whether it's the drivers, card or PSU?

Well, if it did work it would mean that the PSU is fine.

 

And you should probably try a different PSU if your iGPU is dead. Do you have any other graphics cards around?

Nope, sold it all :c. That's why I should ask my brother to temporarily swap the GPU's. If I still get driver crashes it could be my PSU but I'd rather not do that just yet
