Only two 9 pin USB headers

Hello Guys,

Currently my Maximus V extreme only has two 9 pin USB headers. And I'm needing three. My case uses two alone.

Anyone know a adapter that can connect two 9 pin headers for the case into one connector.on the motherboard, so I can use the other connection for something else?

I dont think thats possible. But maybe buy a usb hub? or a pci one.

Basically the case uses two and I need one for Corsair link. 

It probably means I have to give up two on the front panel of the case.

You could have a passthrough cable from the back I/O's USB 2 ports to the front panel I/O as a last resort.

Most PCI USB cards do come with an USB header on it. So you can expand yout I/O USB ports by an amount of X and your internal USB headers by 1 (mostly)

Who really uses more than two usb ports on the fp at the same time?

 

Just leave some of them disconnected..... Or actually. Don't even use corsair link. Who needs corsair link for what? You bios is so good on that board that you can set up a nice fan profile with the fans plugged into the mobo.
