The 560Ti I had recently died & I am currently looking to replace it with a 970. I've heard that there are more cards coming out during the holiday season & I was wondering if I should wait for one (8gb versions)?

Personally I would like a red & gunmetal colored GPU to match my scheme (Notoriously RoG cards  <_<).

Currently I'm looking at the Strix & Zotac Extreme, but I think I can last a little bit longer using the integrated graphics from my cpu.

Don't get one of the 8GB ones unless you plan to SLI and run at high resolutions. Otherwise just get a 4GB.

And please don't get on the stupid Strix bandwagon, if you really want a black and red one, get the MSI Twin Frozr V. If you can live without the red, the Gigabyte Gaming G1 is the best 970 to get.

The 8GB version is pointless unless you plan on running at high resolutions.  I'd go for the Strix for its incredibly quiet operation.

None of the ones out right now match my build, the two listed are the closest in terms of having one of the colors. I assume since most of them are close in performance that I wouldn't be sacrificing looks for performance.

I plan to SLI down the road & eventually (If I can find a job) go 1440p with two additional monitors (Either in 1080 or 1440 haven't decided).

"would match my build" meaning? Take a look at MSI -NON- Gaming 970. Might be the thing you are looking for. You could also try zotac's.... uniqueness, if you prefer.
