This is my first time building a PC.  How does this look? (Prices from Newegg)

CPU: AMD FX-6300 - $109.99

Mobo: ASUS M5A97 R2.0 - $99.99

RAM: G.SKILL Sniper Series 8GB (2 x 4GB) - $81.99

GPU: HIS IceQ X² Boost - $189.99 (Radeon R9 270x)

Total: $481.96

Questions:

- What type of case should I use?

- Any revisions?

- What SSD/HDD should I get?

- What power supply?

- Also, should I get any aftermarket coolers?

Thanks!

Location, full budget, and usage for the PC?

That's pretty horrible for $800.

Looks good. Though if you are getting new hardware I would go with an intel CPU and motherboard. That is, unless you want to try and overlook at that price point specifically.

You should use a case that fits your motherboard and the space that it will be out.

Consider finding intel mobo/cpu for that price piont.

I would get a SSD from a good brand like : Corsair, Kingston, Samsung, etc

If you care about noise and want to overclock then a CPU cooler is a must.
