Im planning on making a new, super cool, PC and I want some opinions on my setup.

CPU: Intel I5 4690 (3.5Ghz)

GPU: ASUS STRIX GTX 970

RAM: 8GB ADATA DDR3 (1866)

Storage: WD Blue 1TB 7200RPM

Mobo: ASUS Maximus VII Hero (LGA 1150)

PSU: Corsair CX600M

Case: Rosewill BLACKHAWK ATX Mid

Monitor: HP W2072a Black 20" 5ms

Thoughts? Issues? Reccomendations?

i5 6970 doesn't exist nor would it even be compatible with a LGA 1155 socket.

still wont work with 1155. Needs to be LGA 1150 - H/Z 97

Then my only other thought is that monitor, but if that is all you afford right now - whatever but I would hope you plan on buying a better one.

I would get a better monitor. Monitors are things you typically don't upgrade that often.

 

When was the last time you heard someone say "Aw sweet! New monitors are getting released today! I'm going to buy one!" Then do just that again every time newer and better monitors come out?
