Hi, I was thinking of upgrading my PSU from a CX600M to an EVGA SuperNOVA 750 G1. Some people have said that I should, and some have said I am fine with the CX600M.

SPECS:

CPU: Intel i5 4670K trying to overclock to 4.4.

GPU: GTX 780 SC overclocked to +60 Core and +400 memory.

RAM: 8GB

Monitor: Asus VS247H-P

OS: Windows 7 64 Bit

The wattage is fine but the CXM series is not the most reliable power supplies and i would only upgrade to the EVGA 750 G1 if you are going to SLI if you are going to stay with a single gpu setup i would just get around the wattage but maybe from a different 80+ rating and better reliability

So I was also looking at the 650W EVGA supernova PSU and it is only 5 dollars less than the 750W. Should I just go with the 750W? Also would a better PSU make overclocking the CPU easier because it is giving it more power? When I overclock right now I get crashes after a certain amount of time.

well for 5 bucks i would get the 750 because i think that makes sense and it wouldn't make it really "easier" but it would most likely make it more stable and if it crashes you may want to make sure that it is a stable overclock and it may not be a PSU problem it may be your overclock so take that into consideration

Even if I am trying to overclock the CPU?

For people concerned about wattage and overclocking - this video is in my bookmarks for that very reason.

My account is almost entirely dormant. Hope you all are having a grand time. Many years of fun were had here.

I'd only upgrade if you're looking to SLI, otherwise don't waste money, just stick with the CX. It's still good even if you OC the CPU
