Need help in choosing a GPU

Hi, I would like to ask this question to those people who have gone past this terrible choosing of what to and what not to buy..

 

Considerations

• Im from Philippines, and afaik, prices here are 5-10% higher than in US.
• I can't buy from amazon or any same way. Shipping costs will get back on me plus the chance of RMA.
• I only have a converted budget of about USD460

Now for the options

• 280X Toxic - $210
• 280X Powercolor - $210
• 270X Toxic - $186
• 285 Turbo Duo - $210
• 970 Zotac Basic - $360

The scenario would be -- 

      I was planning on buying a 280X because of the hype on 970. People sell their 280X to buy the new card. So by this time, I am seeing a lot of 280X's on lower prices. In conjuction to that, I want to take the advantage of completely building a new rig on intel platform. If I choose the used 280X's, my budget would definitely meet them. The question is, should I still go to the better 970 plus current setup? Or get the power hungry 280X plus intel parts/new case?

 

My current rig is A10-5800k, 55m mobo, 8gb ram, vs450 and a not so beautiful raidmax case. BTW, I am getting my XFX 750w Black edition on tuesday. So I'm good in terms of PSU.

With these guy's choosing a GPU is an extremely personal choice not unlike the type of condom you prefer.

I'd go 280X toxic if you don't need nVidia only feature

970 if you can afford it/want to buy it (its what i would chose)

280x if you want good performance and save money and be wary of mining cards

I can buy the 970, but the thing is, I will still be using A10-5800k as my cpu. no intel, no new case, no 1TB HDD. But, still, life goes on. So, what do you guys think? get the 970 then YOLO? hahaha

The bottleneck will be huge! I suggest you go with 280x Toxic and an Intel CPU
