This is my first pc and I'm wondering how good the specs are. If you could let me know that would be awesome. I'm using a

Nzxt h440 as the case

Cpu: amd fx 8350

Gpu: gtx 980

Ram:16 gigs of ripjaws X series

Memory: 240 gig ssd (intel) and a 2tb hard drive (seagate)

Cpu cooler: nzxt kraken

Power supply: 1000 watt evga (planning to over clock cpu and go dual 980s in the future)

Motherboard: Asus crosshair formula V

Price: 2091$

Just wanting to know if there is anything I should change out or more I should put in. I'm planning to render videos and stream games.

Also thank you

i would personally go for the fx-8320.

the 8350 is just a factory over clocked 8320. save a few bucks and overclock it yourelf. ;)

other than that its great. :o wish i had that money.

If you're buying in the USA, you can get these parts:

http://linustechtips.com/main/topic/251486-final-x99-build-plan/#entry3446960

They'll cost you $50 more, but you get DDR4, Very good CPU cooler, Hexacore CPU and the x99 platform.

Look at the cost.

For $2100 would you rather have an 8350, or 5820k.

Didn't say he needed it, but why not get the best bang for your buck?

true, and im not even going to start that dumbass arguement ''oh, certian applications prefer more cores!! :D'' because it really doenst matter when the fewer cores are equally as fast if not faster.

i was just looking at the fact that other parts had to get cut in order to get the high end CPU.

Not really.

Better CPU

More Expensive Case

Better Ram

Same Graphics Card

Better Motherboard

Better Chipset

Better Cooler

Better Power Supply

The only thing downgraded is the HDD / SSD.

You will not need a 1000W PSU. Even with the CPU overclocked to 9590 levels and dual 980s overclocked to the max, an EVGA 850G2 will do fine.

Also, ROG boards are a waste of money.

id exchange that amd with an intel cpu and the ssd. i dont know the price but crucial has sick prices on their ssds so you might wanna take a look at that. also the psu is way too overkill. 850 would prolly still be too much but thats what i went with. our pcs are almost the same only that i went for i7 5820k
