I dunno if it should go here, but I've had this computer built since spring 2013.

I didn't have this for the longest time but when my computer crashes, or boots up, or restarts, it'll say CPU Fan error into the BIOS. In order to get rid of this, I need to go into settings and it discard changes and exit. I know my CPU fan works. My CPU temps are at 42C normally, going up to about 55C max.

I have a z77 sabertooth by the way.

Dunno why it does this. Any ideas why?

Is your cpu fan plugged into the cpu fan header?

Damn, I haven't seen you in a long time :D

Have you tried replacing the CMOS battery, reflashing the BIOS and/or ensuring that the primary CPU fan header is being used for the heatsink's fan?

Been hella busy. Trying to learn Python, C, and C++ simultaneously now D:

I have not, that would be a pain in the ass to get the thermal armor on. Would the CMOS even be a problem? I would see other things besides just this.

Haven't reflashed the BIOS, there probably is a BIOS update somewhere.

CPU fan header is in the primary prongs.

Sounds good :)

As for the situation, I would try reflashing the BIOS first and seeing what happens. Then maybe reset the CMOS (which of course just involves bridging the header/pressing the button (I forget which way it is on the Sabertooth) and if that doesn't solve it, it may be something wrong with the board that isn't user repairable.
