As all of you may know Black Friday and Cyber Monday is closing in.I am on a low budget and trying to build a decent gaming computer .As an option I have decided to either sell or if possible use old parts of my old HP Pavillion dv6 with beats audio as components of my new build. Not sure if I could salvage anything since it might have integrated parts.Im open to any suggestions that could help. Thanks in advance for the comments.

Thanks for detail so should I just resort to selling it as a whole or individual parts

The only thing you would be able to take out really is the ram, battery, and hard drive. The rest would require a complete teardown. If you are gaming the best you can do is get a used laptop as any gaming laptop will be 800+. Barebones systems from clevo and MSI are usually a lot more expensive.

I had one of these laptops and trust me, taking them apart sucks balls.

You're better off selling it whole, you're likely to break it taking it apart.
