Most motherboards include between 1 and 3 Sata cables, depending on the cost the more expensive ones normally do. Some drives come with them as well.

The z97s SLI plus (basically the exact same board but in blue) came with 4 Sata (not Sata express) wires, and an sli bridge.

The regular sata cable doesn't work with sata express does it?

Do sata express (consumer) drives even exist yet....
