May not be right section but seems to be most appropriate.

 

Im looking for a UPS solely for my pc there is increasingly more and more power cuts where i live and i think this is one of my only options to safeguard me from them but i know very little about them i understand there uses and all that but have no idea on the good brands and what one i should be looking at 

 

i have a 760 watt psu in my pc and with the way things are going in tech i don't think i will ever need to go over that currently but i would like some headroom. 

 

im in the uk so needs to be available in the uk

For UPS's you want to make sure you have enough power for your use case so something that is more than what your PC consume at MAX power with all the monitors and other things connected not necessarily just larger than your PSU. 

I usually suggest Cyberpower since they use Pure Sin Waves reproduction so it ensure there is no issues with any equipment, other forms such as stepped/approximated Sin Waves is still good but you want to avoid any that use a square sin waves which can cause some degradation of equipment or cause some to shut down due to their built in power factor correction (PFC).
