Intel Quick Sync... Will this work?

So I'm without my power supply until at least Monday. I was going to install Windows 8.1 and use the iGPU on my Pentium, and then when I get my PSU, install the drivers for my graphics card (a Radeon HD 7950 for everything, and a GTX 480 for CUDA and folding). When I switch to my AMD card, will Quick Sync work, since I had the Intel drivers installed? Or is it a separate app? This is my first non-Atom Intel iGPU deal, so I really have no clue what's going on.

Can't you use it in OBS to help speed things up?

It does support quick sync so it should work.

So do I need the Intel graphics drivers?
