7870 driver problem?

i just got my 7870 but i can not make it work in my pc.

i have plugged everything in correctly.

but when i install the driver and restart. My pc freezes under boot.

it is a brand new XFX ghz edition.

what to do?

Download this.

 

It's a clean up utility that will remove all AMD drivers. Once you download it, reboot into safe mode(after post screen press F8 until it loads). When you boot into safe mode run the utility then reboot into regular Windows and try to install your driver.

 

If it doesn't work, then you might have a faulty card, but to me, it's a software issue in my eyes.

it still doesn´t work. i can´t boot it freezes after the starting windows logo.

but i can boot in safe mode.

the card shows up in device manager.
