I managed to boot into windows before, however it's giving me an error saying it cannot apply updates.

I have tried starting windows in safe mode to no avail.

The BIOS will also just drop all the saved settings like fan curves and RAM speeds set.

I'm running 2800MHz RAM, but it keeps resetting to either 3000MHz or 2133...

Running an ASUS x99.

A bit disappointed that I could get into windows before no worries, and then upon rebooting it just died.

I would try re-installing the OS, but it's got to be a memory speed issue... right?

it's strange that it drops all the values, seems to be an issue with the BIOS battery or something :S What heppens when you try to boot?
