Either a problem with the memory chanel of the CPU or the RAM itself. Or the mobo might be faulty

My computer won't work with 2 rams sticks installed I tried both and they both work on there own

My rig

I7 3790

Gigabyte motherboard

ballistic sports ram stick

I'm not 100% sure, but i am 98% sure, that 3790 doesn't exist... If you mean 4790, then it's maybe a faulty mobo, if it won't recognize both of them together (from your talk, i understand that mobo only recognizes them on their own?). If it's 3XXX then a wrong socket...
