You should always buy the best SINGLE GPU you can afford..unless you can afford a 7990.. :)

Your best effort is the easiest thing to give to someone else..

Single 7950 for gaming.

Single 660 Ti for rendering/editing/cuda core stuff.

well, I was thinking about getting one 7950 but my friend suggested dual 7790 becouse they are really beast. but as linus said, allways go with one single better card so yeah

Single HD 7950 all the way. Get the best single card you can afford (No Crossfire or SLI issues). I just bought an XFX 7950 and, I am extremely happy (4 free games and exellent overclocker).
