Generally Buggy OS Problems

Hey guys

So about 1-2 months ago my PSU blew out while playing payday 2, so I swapped out that PSU for a new one and then tried to update my drivers, this is when the problems started.

So to list the problems I know of, 

 

Steam has to be started in compatibility mode (This then causes a whole list of problems).

Chrome sometimes doesn't want t start after being closed, so a restart is required.

Applications (Usually full screen) sometimes minimize themselves.

Some videos (Like on Facebook) wont play, sometimes just a white box or no audio.

 

This is getting really annoying and I'm thinking of just doing an OS re-install.

For me this sound more like either ram or drive has problems (maybe related to PSU) but that PSU itself isn't the problem. Were you by any change installing windows updates when PSU cut off? That could have messed them. You could try to do repair install which doesn't do anything to software/games/files but fixes any problems with windows itself.
