i5-4590?

Go to solution Solved by Speedbird,

Im looking into building my first ever PC soon and im kind of on a budget.

I've been wondering if it is worth it to pay 20 Euros more when comparing an i5-4590 against a i5-4690.

I'm not overclocking and just trying to get the most performance for my $ while also trying to make it as cheap as possible.

Besides of that, Would the i5-4590 suffice enough for gaming at 1080p and some video editing? (i7 is out of budget and I'm coming from a laptop with i5-2410M which cant even run CS:GO (CPU based) on a stable 30fps on low settings - 1280x720)

The 4590 is a good choice. The only difference between these two is the clockspeed, which doesn't matter when gaming.

The 4590 is fine.

If every penny counts it'll do just fine.

They are the exact same CPU except one is clocked higher out of the factory. It won't really make a difference in games though
