Guy on some forums I visit has a 3770k a "5.6ghz" on liquid cooling, but in his post he also says he has 2 nvidia cards in crossfire lol

and he spelled liquid cooling "Liquid calling"

5.6 GHz on liquid cooling is highly unlikely, if anything. 

 

Yea I googled and saw the only ppl getting this were using dry ice and only getting like 1-2 runs outta their cpu's with liquid cooling @ 1.568volts for their 5.6ghz

This would be possible with sub-zero liquid cooling.

 

You have to remember "liquid" isn't limited to water.

 

But this guy was probably just joking.

 

Ask him for his CPU-Z overclock authentication page. If he doesn't provide it then...

Yeah, that makes sense, but not the one with plain old liquid cooling. 

 

that's where this came from, it was just a random link when I googled it, thats all

 

Dude, if you're "hitting a wall" at 1.6V, you flirting with death lol. 1.6V on water got me nearly 5.6GHz, for a couple runs. If you want more, you'll need LN2.
