(HELP ASAP!) gtx 970 requires 8+6 pin, I only have 6+2

HELP!!! Building my first pc as we speak, just ran into a problem. My 970 requires a 8 pin + 6pin. My PSU only has 6+2 pin connectors. 

 

Q: Can I use to cables from my PSU to power the GPU? one cable(6+2 pin) The other cable (6 pin)

You can use the 6+2 for the 8pin, then the other 6 pin for the 6 pin.

the 6+2 pin connector means it can be either used as a 6 pin or 8 pin (6+2=8) connector. So yes, you can use a 6+2 pin as an 8-pin, and the other 6+2 pin as a 6 pin. That's the idea.
