Hello I'm thinking about buying a custom made gaming PC from mwave.com.au (yes I'm in Australia so AU$ prices would be great). Using this link http://www.mwave.com...pc/configure/43 what do you think the best X99 config is for $2500 at Max $3000 thx. I don't feel comfortable doing my first build with very expensive parts so please don't say it's cheaper doing it that way, I know. I will be gaming and doing rendering and also please leave any suggestions for places who custom build PC's in NSW, SYDNEY.

1. Get a better video card.  Trust me, you aren't going to be able to do much rendering with a 750ti.  Try looking into a 970 or 980.

2. Do you really need a 5820k? Most tasks like gaming won't even use all 12 threads.

3. DDR4 and X99 really aren't worth it for gaming.  I would strongly suggest a killer Z97 system instead.

4. Get an SSD.  Just yeah....

Want a good game to play?  Check out Shadowrun: http://store.steampowered.com/app/300550/ (runs on literally any hardware)

another 12 core / 24 thread senpai...     (/. _ .)/     \(. _ .\)

all true.

750 ti and anything x99=''hey, lets make my 300+ dollar cpu work like it was 50 bucks :D''

i would reccomend a single 980 or two way 970/980s

x99 isnt really worth it quite yet, z87 z97 are still amazing for gaming (in some cases better than x99) and still rendering beasts.

i'll pull up a good list on PCPP for you once my math HM is done. (or i'll say that and forget about this post forever and never get back but im sure you'll get enough help anyway. xD )

going with X99 and sticking with a 2000-3000 budget is going to give you significantly less performance than a z97 build
