Its not even a competition, the R9 280 runs away with it.  Not only does it offer better performance, but it has 3GB of VRAM compared to only 2GB VRAM on the 760!

 

Games are starting to require more and VRAM.  If you have 2GB of VRAM, you're going to be playing games are medium-high compared to high-ultra with the R9 280.

 

You also get 3 free games with the R9 280, which are actually pretty good games.  Its a no-brainer.

For that price range, in my opinion, an R9 280 is just completely unbeatable. Gives great frame rates on nearly all current games and the 3 free games that comes along with it is great.

R9 280 is the best bang for your buck.I believe it can run BF4 and other demanding titles at 1080P everything on ultra/max.
