  grab one thats onsale.  look around on amazon and new egg,  prices and promotions change rapidly.   asus, gigabyte and msi make some great coolers, and so does saphire.  vapor x drool.      whats your budget? can you wait a few months?  i have a feeling there will be another shakeup with card prices soon.

remember it takes 2 seconds to google it yourself......

Here is a good review of the 760 vs 280 ... note than in every game they are performing identically.

Great deals on openbox cards on Newegg. $160 for a 280 and $180 for a 760.

Easy there turbo thats a 280x not 280 LOL.

still...take your time and check the numbers...the 280 is noticeably faster overall.

i'm sorry but the r9 280 is a superior gpu to the 760...it also have an extra gb of vram.

i mean just look at the benchmark youve linked the r9 280 is the clear winner here.

you are correct. I own both a 7950 (280) and 760, and the 280 is superior. My 760 will hold stable 1296/7150 clocks, and the 280 @ 1125/6000 is about 5-10% faster in benchmarks, and its a crappy overclocker. in gaming, the 280 holds a better minimum framerate, and higher average. there's really no contest when the 280 is so cheap.

worth listenning:

According to the vid you posted

GTX 760 vs R9 280

Dirt 3 = 3fps difference

TR 2014 = 4fps difference

BF4 = 3fps difference

Overall not a big difference and both GPUs offer the same perceivable gameplay experience. Without being a fanboy these GPUs are both equally good in practice and one should choose one based on brand loyalty because of this fact. I am loyal to AMD because they offer best value and this fact stays true here because of the added free games.

...and the 280 as an extra gb of vram which is very important and should be considered as well.
