Ok simple one for you guys, i'm upgrading my existing system that was built on a budget, i no longer have the same financial restrictions and was wondering what i should replace to get a better gaming experiance.

Current Rig.

- Corsair CX750M Power Supply

- AMD FX6300

- 8GB DDR3 Corsair Vengeance Jet Black Low Profile

- Nvidia GTX 750ti

- 1TB Seagate Barracuda HDD

So what do you all think?

Any advice would be appreciated.

Thanks.

If you don't play MMOs or other single-threaded games, all you really need is a better GPU. The FX-6300 still has great multi-threaded performance. It's single-threaded performance is pretty bad nowadays though, but modern games are better able to take advantage with more threads.

If it were me, I'd get a new GPU and call it a day since I don't play MMOs.

Can't say i play MMO's I play a lot of different games though, spend most of my time on Arma 3 and i've heard that works better off of intel cpu's for the single core performance.

I'm not complaining about the performance of anything i have now though, i can just afford to beef up the build a bit.

But it will oonly be getting used for gaming, so i know there's no need for an overkill cpu and i dont want to be wasting money on extreme parts i'll never see the full performance of.

Well this is why i'm asking, my computer will play most games no problem but games like arma are on fairly low settings.

Also when i tried to play Dead Rising 3 my computer almost ground to a halt in the open areas, i believe that may have been my cpu letting me down but i'm honestly not sure.

I know my build is an entry level gaming pc and i want to upgrade so i can push these games to the highest settings without being able to count the seconds per frame.

Well, if you have a need, this is what I would get:

PCPartPicker part list / Price breakdown by merchant

CPU: Intel Core i5-4460 3.2GHz Quad-Core Processor  (£129.95 @ Aria PC)
Motherboard: MSI H97M-G43 Micro ATX LGA1150 Motherboard  (£63.56 @ Scan.co.uk)
Video Card: PowerColor Radeon R9 290 4GB PCS+ Video Card  (£215.99 @ Amazon UK)
Total: £409.50
Prices include shipping, taxes, and discounts when available

It should be able to handle pretty much anything at 1080p 60hz. If you really want to spend more, you could go for a K series CPU, Z97 chipset MoBo, and an aftermarket CPU cooler, but that'll increase the price by a lot without a corresponding increase in performance. You'll get better performance, but not as good price to performance as this.

That's just fanboyism. Anyone telling you XXX brand is always better than YYY brand is just stupid. It comes down to which GPU performs the best for the price, and that usually comes down to which GPU is on sale. Right now the AMD lineup has some pretty steep discounts that the NVidia lineup just doesn't have until you get to the GTX 970, although that could change in a heartbeat. You've got to look at all the cards and find the one that performs the best for the price. Right now that's AMD for your price range. Tomorrow it could be NVidia. There is no clear-cut answer.
