ok so i'm not really clear on how these work but so far this is what i think i know:

Prefilled loops are the prebuilts of the liquid cooling world, that is to say they are best described as plug n play water cooling loops. is there something i should know? whats the catch?

The catch is the extra 1000$ you spend on getting it prebuilt.

Hang on, surely by pre-filled he means an AIO cooler?

Those are CHEAPER than a custom loop, but not as flexible in usage.

They don't look as cool as custom water loops, they often don't cool as well either, but they are very good for the price, everyone can install them.

Also no real chance of any leaks.

If you buy one i'd recommend a dual rad one, single rads don't cool that well.

Most of these watercoolers cool just as good as some air coolers.

And this is why I can't have nice things. I honestly thought he meant something like what origin and digitalstorm offer.

You screw it into your case and you're done. No catch, just less performance and less cost.

They are usually not as efficient, you usually can't use them for more than one component at once and well, they just don't look as good (but they're still pretty cool looking).

They are also a lot cheaper. I mean an order of magnitude cheaper.

Don't ask to ask, just ask... please 🤨

Well yeah, in that case it might be quite expensive :P
