Themes and desktop customization

I cant stand this default bullshit. What themes/skinpacks/programs do you use to customize your desktop?

Rainmeter is absolutely some of the best software out there (and free too), but really it's just another way of spending processing power on something you will never ever look at (how much time do you spend looking at your desktop?). Default with a nice wallpaper (for the 2 seconds after I boot up) is the way to go for me.

Do something with your time other than looking at your desktop.

Install a nice wallpaper, put rainmeter on it for when you want to use up a little bit of performance for a nicer look, order your desktop icons if you have any so it looks neater, and then just deal with it.

Well that's wrong really, Macs are much more customisable out of the box than Windows is (and have ever been).

It's not so much on the surface you have to really look for it. Most visuals can't be changed that much without 3rd party software but then again neither can it on Windows. Where OS X really shines is the fact that you can do custom keybinds for EVERYTHING. I didn't realize it at first but coming from Linux to OS X it reeeaaaally makes it a lot better.
