cloned my ssd and I lost space

Imminent

okii so Im upgrading from a 120gb ssd to a 250gb and plan to use the old 120gb for another system. So I tried to clone the 120gb over to the 250 with this site http://www.backup-utility.com/free-backup-software.html.
I plugged both drives into my computer and cloned the 120 over to the 250 and then took the 120 out and it booted up no problems except windows is saying it's a 120gb size drive. I fkd up somewhere and I only know a little bit about storage. All help is really appreciated!!!!

Nvm, I found the solutions. Just right click on the drive in computer management and extend volume.

Hey Imminent,

As you figured it out, when cloning a drive, you are doing an exact copy of the old drive onto the new one (including all partitions and formats). This is way it is recommended to have a similar or larger drive as a new one in order not to lose any data during the process. The excess space on the new drive stays unallocated and you can easily manage that from the Disk Management by expanding the current volume or simply create a second partition from it :)
