Is it time to upgrade to x99 from x79 3960x? I only game, no editing

No no no no no no....... That bad boy will be good for a good long time if you only game. I have a 4930k and I mostly edit and I'm not even thinking of upgrading until Skylake-E or the "E" version of whatever comes after Cannonlake.

 

Edit: I just looked at your build. Use that money to go towards a custom loop. That would really pull your monster of a rig together.

Edit: I just looked at your build. Use that money to go towards a custom loop. That would really pull your monster of a rig together.

I used to have a custom loop until the tubing on the cpu block came out and drenched my entire system. I'm too afraid to go back to that territory

I don't really know anything about custom loops, but don't compression fittings protect against that?
