FarCry 4 min/rec specs

So I read in a Brazilian website that FarCry 4 is  reccomended GPU is an GTX680 or an R9 290X. Is that right? 

 

How can a 680 even compete with the 290X????? NVIDIA using their money to manipulate game developers?

they setting just go to crap, and soon after the consoles thermal throttle and get less then 30 fps...

the 680 is about the same as a R9 280x. however the 690 will still wreck most games. it basically has 2 680's

Not wanting to start a flame war, but its not totally unheard of. on the site "gpuboss" which allows you to compare benchmarks of almost every single gpu out there with almost any other gpu to see whats "better" they've been known to run AMD cards on something like a Pentium dual core test bed, while the compared to NVidia card is running on an fx 9350. Its complete garbage and you can see people in the comments on such tests weren't too pleased. Well, that and they claim that the 770 is faster than the hd 7990 and r9 295x2. Somewhere along the process a large amount of the tests became very very biased towards nvidia.
