Note: I wanted to build a pc that can run well (on a budget, of course.)

Uses:

-Gaming

Editing/rendering (I have a youtube channel and I guess it would be interesting to become a content creator.)

Food for thought: Before you bash me for not getting the i7, I want to let you know that I will not be doing enough to permit an extra $100 for HT.

Budget: 1,800 USD tops

ANY FEEDBACK IS APPRECIATED

Well that build does have an i7.

Also save some bucks by getting an MSI Z97 G45 Gaming instead

Couple of things, first of all, you do NOT want a WD Green HD. THey are ridiculously slow. You want a blue or a black.

Also, given that this is a single GPU system, you could just go with an ITX case and a motherboard that has Wifi onboard.

Some of those little ITX boards like the Maximus VII Impact overclock like bananas and have everything you need in a tiny "cute" package.

You could fit your build into an EVGA Hadron or a Corsair 250D. Something to think about.

If you're planning for a second GPU later and you need a full size board, may I suggest the ASUS Z97-A board. I like it a lot better than anything MSI makes in that price range.

If you want dual M.2 for $15 more look at the ASRock extreme 6. I would go for either of those before anything else for ATX Z97.

Intel Inside. Overweight guy in his 30's outside.

1. WD Green is fine for data storage since he's booting off an SSD, but it's up to OP's choice

2. Some people prefer upgradability, such as being able to add a second 290 later on. As well as bigger coolers for higher overclocks and more airflow for other components, rather then cramming everything into a tiny mITX case.

3. Z97-A doesn't fit the color scheme though. The MSI Z97 G45 Gaming as suggested would save a bit of money, provide good performance, and look nice.
