For my University assignment, I have asked to build 2 PC's with a budget (Not hard to do). I have already chosen components for both these PC's but need some feedback as this adds to the research part of it that I've actually asked people, on a reliable site, so I am able to clarify I have asked "is this the best for the money" (as well saying Tom's Hardware is a reliable site ect). All components are off scan.co.uk

I'd suggest an Athlon 860K and a dedicated GPU. You'll get more bang for your buck there.

For A Z87 Motherboard isn't the best option for a locked processor - is there a cheaper H87 board? Z87 is only useful if you wanna OC, really.

I'd suggest an SSD for the 1000 build, if you can spare it.

Other than that, looks great!

I'd go for PC one.

If you increase your memory speed and capacity it's just fine.

Then you're able to even play a some game's on medium.

I don't know how important it is for you to be able to game , but then you have at least the ablity.

I need to build both budgets.

Wouldn't the 7850k be more powerful than the Athlon as it will only be used by a student so they won't be doing any demanding work
