Upgrade need help please!

Hey forum I want to upgrade my pc for about 250-300 dollars and am not sure what is the best thing to do my specs are as follows :

CPU - i5 2500k 3.30GHZ

GPU - gtx 550ti

Ram - 8GB

PSU - 800W

HDD - 500GB

MOBO - MSI ms 7680

What is your mobo and cpu cooler? It would be good if you overclocked a little.

You could wait a bit and get gtx 960 or whatever nvidia and amd releases in future.

Right now you can afford r9 290.

I would advise you to get a small SSD as a boot drive and to add a better GPU. You could also get a better motherboard (http://pcpartpicker.com/part/asrock-motherboard-z77extreme4m) and a better water or air cooler and do some overclocking beacause you do have a "K" chip.

X2 is two 760 cores on one gpu, the one you linked is normal 760 with 4gb of vram

its expensive.
