High load freezing

Go to solution Solved by thespartan65,

For anyone with the same issue, i  have managed to fix mine. The three things i did to fix it are: turn off turbo boost in bios, i bought a better power suply(although i would do this one lasty as it costs money) 1000w, and under power options > advanced turned cpu power down to 99% max/min from 100% max/min

I recently got a new motherboard, CPU, and GPU and when i play a demanding game(like BF3) while also downloading/recording my whole pc freezes and has to be shut down by holding the power button. But playing only a game or a less demanding game while downloading wont cause freezes. Is it my cpu(i turned off turbo boost good or bad thing?) or possibly not enough power from the psu?

Specs:

-AMD FX 9590

-GTX 970

-water cooled cpu kit(came with cpu)

-8GB ripjaws ram(4GB x 2)

-corsair 600W

-500GB and 1TB HDD

-cd drive

-Gigabyte GA-990FXA-UD3(I have updated the bios)

-Windows 7 64bit

I think there might be a problem with your processor or your temp probe there bud because running at 50° C is pretty common for a processor I had the same problem with an Intel Pentium in the pastI believe it was on the Sandy Bridge chipset but your best lock would be if it's just shutting off is to replace your processor or investigate your power supply

Either that or simply just don't overclock until CPUs are not intended to overclock that features just there for them to be able to charge you a little bit more of a premium for it it another solution could be just returning your CPU to stock clock and seeing if it still has the freezing issues

Are you running the GA-990FXA-UD3 (rev. 4.0)? Previous revisions are not compatible with the 9590.
