Need some help with a small case

Go to solution Solved by MourningSouls,

Thanks so a 500W is plenty and I definitely don't need to go up to a 750W?

Thanks I will look into these although I really want to get a small cube but there arent many for a M-atx

I don't know about small cubes, but there is the Fractal Design Node 804, Aerocool DS-Cube and the Xigmatek Aquila. Both the Aerocool and Xigmatek cases are mATX versions of the ITX Prodigy/Phenom/Colossus. Of the two the Aquila is my top choice, but the Node would beat them all.

As for my recommendation of the PS07, I take it back. The internal design, though very particular, is great, the airflow with the front panel closed is horrible. I thought there was a lot more intake area than there is. The TJ08 looks good still though.

I am looking at upgrading/downsizing from my Silverstone TJ-09 case and want to know a good small sized case that has plenty of room internally but doesn't take up much space. I have an EVGA GTX770 SC (10.5"/266.7mm length), 2x HDD + 1 SSD and am using the stock Intel CPU cooler. Also maybe possible upgrades later on would be an all in one CPU water cooler or larger air cooler and more HDDs.

Sorry was away for a bit, it is a thermaltake toughpower 750w but I need a new PSU as it makes funny noises

Do you need a M-ATX Case minimum right?

Yes, was hoping for something that would fit onto my desk like one of those smaller lan party cases like the corsair air 240 and CM elite 130

but those are M-ITX cases

Edit: so you have two options get a new smaller motherboard or get a larger case

Edit 2: What cpu do you have?

Ft03

I looked at this but it only said one 3.5" + SSD and I need at least 2x 3.5" and preferably more

Silverstone PS07/TJ08

Pros: Both support single 120mm AiO's, or air coolers up to 165mm. The TJ08 can come with a window and you can apparently order a windowed side panel for the PS07. Both have a removable motherboard tray. The TJ08 comes with a high quality, though loud at 12v Silverstone AP181 fan.

Cons: You don't want a PSU longer than 170mm, 160mm is ideal, 180's will have issues routing the 24 pin. Large air coolers may cause issues with the hard drive cage, while I can have mine installed I can't use it for any hard drives. The PS07 come with two low performance, though very quiet 120mm fans that need to be swapped.

I use a Be Quiet! Shadow Rock 2 for my CPU, something like a Be Quiet! Shadow Rock Slim, Cooler Master Hyper 212 EVO or Noctua NH-U12S should be fine. And I personally like external storage so the useless hard drive cage isn't a big deal to me. My mechanical drive is sitting in a 5.25" bay.

I went with the Node 804 in the end. It was in my opinion the best looking case that I was able to buy in NZ
